New Poetry Volume Offers Emotional Insights into Relationships; Book by Hexin McPhee

Dog Ear Publishing releases “A Vision of Love” by Hexin McPhee.

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (PRWEB) April 04, 2012

The author’s distinctive way of expressing relationships of all types provides a new way of looking at the human soul. From relationships with G** to those of parent and child, this new collection of poetry and short stories offers a bittersweet tenderness, reaching out to those searching for answers and affirmation. The eclectic black and white artwork accompanying Hexin McPhee’s words ranges from photos to sketches, adding to the book’s unique feel.

In A Vision of Love, McPhee presents poems and stories from the heart. “The Prayer” speaks to those facing challenges, showing the way G**’s love can bring peace. “Losing myself in this tapestry of G**’s majestic painting, the brilliant colors of the flowers, the sound of the river’s gentle flow, the fragrance of a new day. The vibrant sounds of nature permeate my soul. It was then I felt the presence of G**,” the author writes. “Hopscotched” features a moment when a young child realizes he has lost his father and “his mind hopscotched from one memory to another.” In the end, McPhee’s words provide inspiration, such as the sentimental “Hands,” which offers a heartfelt tribute to a mother’s hands, which offer protection, comfort, and love.

Author Hexin E. McPhee was born in the Bahamas, the son of entrepreneurs. Inspired by Sidney Poitier’s acceptance speech for his Oscar, McPhee decided to explore acting, joining the University Players in Nassau. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, returning to direct the University Players. He studied theater at Pierce College and California State University Northridge. McPhee earned a role in “The Star Chamber” in 1983. He continues to study acting. He began sharing his poetry with others only a few years ago.

Reading is Fun!

(PRWEB) May 01, 2011

San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) May 1, 2011 — Uncle Bob’s Self Storage® announced today details on a book drive to support a summer reading program in the Austin, San Marcos, and San Antonio, TX, market areas. The Company’s intent is to provide area children with free reading materials for the summer.

The book drive has gained tremendous momentum over the winter months thanks to the support of the community and other local businesses. “Last year, we collected about 3,000 books; this year we already have 10,000 in storage and we’re not even at the finish line,” said Monty Rainey, Area Manager. Rainey credits the support of Uncle Bob’s customers as well as the San Antonio Police Department, Harmony Science Academy, McGraw Hill and others for spreading the word and making donations. “We especially want to thank Jacqueline Ortiz of WOAI for airing a story about the program,” continued Rainey. “That 60 second spot was a tremendous boost to the effort.”

Anyone wishing to donate children’s and young adult books may do so prior to May 31 at any of Uncle Bob’s 21 storage facilities in these markets. The donated books will be delivered to area schools for distribution to the local children and their families free of charge.

New Book: The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson: The Medical Facts About The Causes Of Death, Now Available

New Book: The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson: The Medical Facts About The Causes Of Death, Now Available

Champaign, IL (PRWEB) October 20, 2009

A new book, The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson: The Medical Facts About The Causes Of Death, by Andrew Dolan, is available on Amazon.com.

Michael Jackson died with six different drugs in his body, several of which are used to treat alcoholism. The two primary drugs responsible for his death were Propofol, a hospital anesthetic, and Lorazepam, a benzodiazepine, two drugs used in combination to treat alcohol withdrawal.

Michael Jackson took several other drugs routinely used to treat alcoholism. The coroner detected two other benzodiazepines in his body, Midazolam and Diazepam, and both are used to treat alcohol withdrawal. Michael Jackson was given an antidote for benzodiazepine overdoses known as Flumazenil, which is also a treatment for alcohol withdrawal. Michael Jackson used benzodiazepines and Propofol because he suffered from insomnia and anxiety, classic symptoms of alcoholism that are routinely treated with benzodiazepines.

Michael Jackson was using drugs used to treat alcoholism years before his death. A 2003 police raid on his home found Alprazolam, another benzodiazepine used to treat alcoholism, and Prednisone, a corticosteroid treatment for diseases such as lupus and vitiligo that is also used to treat liver disease, a common byproduct of long-term alcoholism.

Michael Jackson died using Propofol, a hospital anesthetic so addictive that a hospital employee was found injecting himself with it over a hundred times a day. Propofol was once used as a homicide weapon in Florida, and Propofol use produces a bizarre medical side effect: green urine. This book examines the medical facts about all six of the drugs found in Michael Jackson’s body after his death as well as other drugs he abused during the years prior to his death. Includes over a hundred medical journal references.

The Sudden Death Of Michael Jackson: The Medical Facts About The Causes Of Death, by Andrew Dolan, is available on Amazon.com and from the publisher, CreateSpace.com, 142 pages, $ 11.95, trade paperback original, ISBN: 1449518176, EAN-13: 9781449518172.
