Bill Cos Tickets – Alive and Well, in a State of Emergency

Article by Brent Warnken

Like many other celebrities, Bill Cosby may have benefitted from the early February death hoax, as it earned his current tour serious promotion. The recent hoax forced Cosby himself to rebuttal the Internet rumor, which displayed his quick knack for handy comedic skills.Writing on his website, Cosby concludes “As you well know, a dead person cannot rebuttal. Therefore, I am rebuttaling to tell you that when I heard the news [of his death] I immediately began rebuttaling and went into denial. My wife has just informed me that there is no such word as rebuttaling, she says the word is rebutting. But I don’t care, because I’m alive! Thank you. PS. That’s another thing dead people don’t say.”

In conclusion, the funny man and famous dessert eater is still alive and kicking, gearing up for his latest round of tours in support of his new album Bill Cosby Presents the Cosnarati: State of Emergency. Are you a long time fan of this comedian and actor? Pick up Bill Cosby tickets online today!

Bill Cosby took an unconventional route when it came to making people laugh, and it wasn’t just because he was one of the first African Americans to find commercial success. Cosby took to comedy at a time when hipster living was all the rage – not only were bell-bottom pants in style, but so was living one’s days through a drug-induced stupor. Rather than take the “high” route, Cosby turned to an all around clean demeanor that has led him straight through to the 21st century, with very few hiccups.

A mentor to many and a role model to all, Cosby found his jokes just as laughable sans explicit content and drunken rambling. Instead, he turned to real life expositions of humor – from family trials and tribulations to poking fun at those ’70s hipsters he often found himself surrounded by – that has helped him keep up his award-winning streak.

Touring now through July, Cosby’s latest award-winning piece comes in the form of the “hip-hop album” Bill Cosby Presents the Cosnarati: State of Emergency, a slightly renovated version of today’s hip-hop tunes that features anything but Bill Cosby rapping. Deemed a “socially conscious” set, the album features Cosby as executive producer in the story-songs. “I don’t like referring to the music as ‘clean,’” he said in a press release. “What I like is what you’re not going to do.”

The PG-rated star keeps his audience happy with jokes that still remain relevant 40 years after conception. Yet for the latest album release Cosby makes sure to keep things fresh, as he continues to release award-winning albums that earn him tons of accolades. Recently he picked up the 2009 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, which has exceeded other awards as he has been hailed as the voice of a nation, much like Mark Twain. The Cosby mania continues as he tours through July with stops in Hartford, Augusta, Fort Myers, West Palm Beach, Charlotte, Toledo, Cerritos, Seattle and Red Wing.
